We had a wonderful weekend at the new “Camp Evening Rise” on the West Branch of the Delaware River, Starlight, PA. My grandson Caleb and son-in-law Josh had a great time fishing and floating the West Branch!

Had a great time with friend and fellow fly angler Kirk Grassett while fly fishing for False Albacore near Cape Lookout, NC. Casting our 9 weight fly rods to these speedy fish was the highlight of the year.
Getting kids involved in Fly Fishing is fun. Passing down fly fishing skills to the next generation is rewarding. It’s all about sharing the experience. Here is my grandson Caleb with his first Rainbow Trout on his own 6.5′ 4 weight fly rod.
Nice job Caleb!
Happy Spring to all and what a Spring season it has been. Cold weather to start off with then summer temperatures in Mid May. The first week of May found the Upper Delaware River system with high and discolored water. Many of us that love to wade fish headed over to the Beaverkill River and it did not disappoint us. Hendrickson’s and Apple Caddis were the flavors of the week!
